Eden’s Blame Game: Where Was Adam?
There are still people blaming Eve for causing Adam to sin, and thus separating themselves from God. But where was Adam while Eve was having to deal with a masterful enemy on her own?
Was he off doing his own thing? Did he need a little “me time,” or discover a great fishing spot or maybe fantasizing about another, better looking “Eve.”
God created man and woman to become one. Think about mashing duct tape across a piece of paper. Now try separating the two without destroying either item. This is the way we are to be meshed to each other in Christ.
When we men get distracted, or disinterested or disengaged from our spouse, then a gap is created where we are both vulnerable to sin slithering in.
It was unrealistic to expect Eve to resist the devil alone, but had Adam been there, then so would have God been there, because the three were entered into a marriage covenant.
Brothers, we must “stick” close to our loved one. Satan is watching and waiting patiently for something new to catch our eye. Let’s stay focused on Christ.
Much Love / Much Respect,
“For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.”
Genesis 2:24

Profound way of looking at it, Scott. Great post.
Thanks Brother.
Happy New Year
Scott
It would appear that Adam was there and neither said or did anything. Other than eat the apple offered by Eve.
Clearly he failed to exercise the leadership ascribed to him by God.
Yes Sir, Dr.,
Genesis 3 says Adam was there, but being “there” is relative. We men are often there, but not connected. Agreed – he did fail to exercise his role as leader.
Thank you,
Scott
