It’s Good To Be A Good Man

It’s good to be a good man. I don’t mean in the sense of trying to be better than another man, but trying to be a better self. I’d bet we’re all better men than when we began.

Sure, we make mistakes, sin and fall short, but that doesn’t have to subtract points from the good man column thanks to forgiveness, repentance and restoration through Christ.

Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.

~ 1 Corinthians 16:13-14

What makes us a good man, or a better man than who we were, is our pursuit of the example of the best man. Our Father is the ultimate alpha male. He gives us unlimited examples through His word and life’s history to know Him.

He also gave us His son, Jesus Christ, so that good men could walk, talk and work alongside God’s best example of what a good man should be.

So maybe the better way to express it, is that it’s good to know the best Man so that we may become better men than who we were before we knew Him.

Much Love/Respect,

Scott
