Where is your future there?

A young preacher anxious to find a place to preach was finally invited to preach at the State Insane Asylum. He read his text then announced the title of his message as a question, “Why Are We All Here?” One of the inmates kept waving his hand and saying, “I know! I know!” Finally, out of frustration the young preacher called on him. He stood and said, “We are all here because we are not all there!”

Jesus said He has gone to prepare a place for His people that where He is we may be also (John 14:1-3). The promise of an eternal Kingdom where there is no more sorrow, heartache or pain resonates in the heart off all believers.

An old hymnal says, “This world is not my home, I’m just a passing through…”  To live a true Christian life, we need to understand the real reason why we are here in this world. It is a preparation for eternity. It is in everyone’s heart to sense the destiny of eternity, whether we admit it or not.

way of the wise

Are you making ready for that day you will meet your Maker? It is unavoidable and needs to be the priority of your life. That is the way of the wise.

Matthew 6:19 -20   “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:”
