You know that indestructible black box that is used on airplanes? Why don’t they make the whole plane out of that stuff?!
Why don’t sheep shrink when it rains?
Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
If con is the opposite of pro, is Congress the opposite of progress?
If flying is so safe, why do they call the airport the terminal?
God put the “wonder” in our hearts to search for Him. We were created to know Him and serve Him. Until we find and give ourselves to Him, there will always be some kind of “wonder” to fill the void.
A seashell held to the ear makes a sound like the ocean. If we go 100 miles away from the ocean, it will still make that distinct ocean sound. That is because it was created for the ocean.
We can go as far away from God as humanly possible and our heart will still produce a cry to know God, because we were created for Him.

God gave each of us free will to believe in him and seek him out, or not. Everyone has felt the need to seek a higher being and a higher deeper spiritual purpose but sometimes misinterpret that deep longing and search in our hearts for material, tangible matters. Know this, God has always loved you. If you look for God, He is with you at all times. Even when you are lost and are trying to find your way, He is there with you. Chaplain Ronnie is so correct to state that if you feel something is missing, go seek out God. It completes you and saves your soul. Know this, too: it is a forever life long journey. God bless.
