I graduated high school in 1983 and attended college during the same decade. It was an era of incredible music and of course the unforgettable, mullet. Now I’m not saying whether I did or didn’t sport one, but the beauty is in the dual nature of the style.

Unfortunately, we can live our life in that same double nature if we’re more focused on what other people can see as opposed to what’s on the inside. God was quick to remind the prophet Samuel that while we look at what’s on the outside, God sees our heart.
I’m thankful for two things at this moment:
1. The mullet has gone into hibernation
2. God sees us for who we really are.
But the Lord said to Samuel, βDo not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have [a]refused him. For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.β
~ 1 Samuel 16:7
Sun Tan
I was reminded of this today after falling asleep in the sun. Max joined me for the quick video where I explain what sun tanning, mullets and the heart of man has to do with our faith walk. Give it a look and a like! πππ
How’s Your Tan Life?
Getting ReadyI know this pandemic lockdown has been challenging, and I’m as ready for it to be over as the next believer, but let’s not lose heart. God is doing a mighty work in our lives right now, and if we tune Him out because we’re impatient, then not only will we have had to endure this quarantine, but we’ll also miss out on His blessing as the end product comes into focus.
Take this time to consecrate your heart in preparation for returning to in-person church services. Don’t allow open sanctuary doors to become more about, “Hello” than “Hallelujah”.

I sported an AMAZING mini-truck mullet, Scott. And my wife still married me. Thanks for making me chuckle, and think about what Jesus would look like with a mullet… it’s a beautiful day, man.
Hey my Brother. Since you’re willing to share, I will too. Yep, I sported it. I tell my wife not to judge too harshly because it was the era!! Take care
