12 of 31 Days: The Fly and Corpse

As a young kid, I thought it was fantastic, and had visions of Stabler, Staubach, Bradshaw, Manning (Archie) and Tarkenton. In reality, it was a horrible idea to allow a 13 year old to go unsupervised. The score reflected it.

One of my most beloved pastors, Ronnie Melancon once explained why we get so exhausted after attending worship service. There’s a spiritual drop off after the mountain top experience. It’s not a bad thing he said, because we need the time to refresh.

9 of 31 Days: I Don’t See It

And sometimes, if I’m lucky, I get to go a few hours without seeing the faces of the injured, the abused or the murdered. Though I don’t think I’d like them to completely go away as they remind me of why I’ve done what I’ve done on their behalf.
